Sei pronto per portare un po’ di colore nel tuo salotto? È arrivato il mio WOW Pouf, il gigante e coloratissimo compagno delle tue avventure sul divano. Ho disegnato questo pouf a uncinetto per la rivista inglese Simply Crochet, lo trovi nel numero 68 (Marzo 2018), insieme ad altri divertenti modelli di designer da tutto il mondo.

Non so tenere le sorprese

Lavorare con Simply Crochet è super emozionante e stimolante, quest’estate quando mi è arrivata la “call for submissions”, mi sono messa subito a lavoro e ho mandato i miei disegni all’editor. Aspettare, per sapere se le mie proposte vengono accettate o rifiutate, mi fa venire sempre un po’ di tremarella, ma poi quando ricevo la risposta positiva, mi dimentico di tutto!

Così ho lavorato in sordina al mio pouf, aspettando che venisse pubblicato per poterlo mostrare al mondo. Non riesco a tenere le sorprese, io sono una di quelle persone che quando compra un regalo deve darlo subito al destinatario, ecco perchè do’ sempre qualche indizio sui miei lavori in corso. Eccomi qua mentre uncinetto il pouf, l’ho pubblicata sul mio profilo Facebook, qualche mese fa… te l’avevo detto!

Maglia alta collegata o punto economia?

Questo è il dilemma! Ma partiamo dall’inizio. WOW Pouf è realizzato con Beyond di Bernat (85% Acrilico – 15% Nylon, 73m/120g) un filato davvero sorprendete, è spesso, compatto ed elastico, perfetto per realizzare complementi d’arredo. Sto pensando di utilizzare gli avanzi per fare qualche cuscino, così quando il pouf tornerà da Bristol non si sentirà solo. Con Beyond i punti rimangono belli definiti, e qui arriva il dilemma. Ho realizzato il pouf con “linked treble” (terminologia inglese), ma come si traduce in italiano questo punto? Io avrei azzardato “maglia alta legata”, ma per essere sicura ho chiesto un consiglio nel gruppo dei Magliuomini, mi hanno confermato che “maglia alta collegata” o “legata” possono andare bene, ma ho scoperto che viene anche chiamato “punto economia”. Che bello, non si finisce mai di imparare!

Surprises

Working with Simply Crochet it’s super exciting, this summer when I received the call for submissions, I immediately started drawing. Waiting for answer from the editor it always make me anxious, but when I receive positive feedback, I forget about everything!

So I worked quietly, crocheting my pouffe, waiting for it to be published to show it. I’m so enthusiastic, that I can’t keep surprises secret, I’m that kind of person who give gift immediately after buying. That’s why I always give some clues about my work in progress. Here I am while crocheting the pouffe, I published it on my Facebook profile, a few months ago … I told you so!

Linked treble crochet

Wow Pouffe is made with Beyond by Bernat (85% Acrylic – 15% Nylon, 73m/120g), a super chunky and super soft yarn. The linked treble creates a gorgeous texture to really show off the chunky yarn. On Simply Crochet they suggest “Tone down the colours to match your home, or hey, just redecorate to siut your pouffe. Why not?” 😀 I’m waiting my pouffe come back from UK to relax and enjoy!
